5 Months Old

My baby girl turned 5 months old today. She is now sitting up for short periods of time and is continuously rolling around the living room. Her sleeping habits have changed a lot in the last month. She will now sleep anywhere during nap time and will even put herself to sleep. Night time sleeping has also been improving this past week and I am hoping it will continue!

Back in Illinois

Last Friday, our 9th day of vacation, we drove down to California. Neither one of us had been there before and Barry said we had to go since we were so close. While we were there we went and checked out the big red wood trees everyone was talking about. What can I say other than, those are some big trees. We drove from California back to my Aunt and Uncles house in Roseburg for one last night in Oregon before we headed to the airport.

Be careful what you wish for.....

Barry kept saying all week how he wanted to go to Vegas and Saturday his wish came true. Apparently back in May when I went online to change our flights from 10:20am to 1:30pm mine got changed, but Barry's did not. We did not catch the mistake until we were getting on the plane and they wouldn't let him on. He ended up taking a flight an hour later that had a 2 hour lay over in Vegas. I was so worried that he was going to be soooo mad at me, but he wasn't. He said he kind of wanted to take that flight anyways. I am just lucky he had to work on Sunday or he probably would have stayed in Vegas.

Vacation Day 8

On our last full day at the rental house we went fishing and played at the beach. There were 7 of us that went fishing and we all caught our limit of 7 bottom fish (black Bass) each. We actually caught more than 7 each, but some we had to throw back either because of the type or the size. Barry stayed back with Addie since he gets sea sick and is not quite the fisherman that I am.

Vacation Day 6 & 7

On Vacation Day #6 we went to the Sand Dunes, Miniature golfing, and out to eat.

On Vacation Day #7 we went crabbing again, walked through Down Town Bandon and went for an evening walk on the beach.

On day 5 of our vacation we went crabbing with my uncle Tom. We caught 17 keepers and cooked them up for dinner. Yum Yum!!!

Vacation Day #4

Yesterday we went to the West Coast Game Park Safari (America's largest wild animal petting park) and horseback riding on the beach.

Vacation Day #3

Yesterday morning we went grocery shopping and headed for the coast. We made it to our rental house in Bandon at 3:00pm. We unpacked, threw in a roast for dinner, and headed down to the ocean. Ryan, Brooke, Kennedy, and Chuck arrived at about 7:00pm.

Vacation Day #2

Today we went to Crater Lake, which is the deepest lake in the United States at 1932 feet. It was really cold and a little foggy, but it was a beautiful place to visit. On the way back we also stopped at Diamond Lake and the fish hatchery.

Addie was getting tired of being in her car seat, so we stopped off at an over look to take a break.


Tomorrow we are heading to the Coast (Bandon, OR) to our rental home for the week. Ryan, Brooke, Kennedy, and Chuck are flying in and will be meeting us there.

Vacation Day #1

It was a long day of traveling, but we finally made it to Roseburg, Oregon. Addie was great on the plane!!! She never cried and seemed to enjoy the bumpy ride.
